Do you dream of creating beautiful, unique jewelry with your own hands, but don't know how to start learning?

Some people have loved jewelry since childhood and still remember the first time they studied their grandmother's brooch. Some have carried their own sketches in their heads for years and never find anything in shops that feels like theirs. Some already make jewelry from beads, wire or resin and feel they want to work with real silver. And some are simply looking for something for the soul: hands busy, mind at rest.

The reasons differ, but the wish is the same: to create something beautiful that will outlast you. Something you can hold in your hands and say, “I made this.”

This online course will help you master the basics of jewelry making quickly — without putting your life on hold!

Many beginner jewelers face the same problems:

  1. 01

No way to enroll in a jewelry school or find courses in your city.

  2. 02

Hard to find time for studies and trips to another city.

  3. 03

YouTube has thousands of clips but no clear path through them: you can't tell what comes after what.

  4. 04

Not enough hands-on skills after theory-only classes.

  5. 05

Fear of making a mistake and ruining precious metal.

  6. 06

Unclear where to start and which tools you need.

  7. 07

Doubts about whether you can master this demanding craft

One clear path instead of a thousand videos

In 20 years of teaching at the Academy of Arts, Stanislav has seen exactly where beginners stumble. So he laid out the whole path from zero to finished jewelry as one sequence, where each step builds on the one before.

When you don't know where to start — start, as they say, from the beginning.

I designed this course specifically for beginners: compact, yet effective, it covers the essential foundations of jewelry making.

Having mastered the core metalworking techniques, you will be able to start crafting your first pieces during the course — and start earning.

The learning materials were developed by experienced jeweler and educator Stanislav Volskyi specifically for beginners without formal training.

Study at a convenient time, at your own pace. The video lessons are step-by-step instructions.

A workshop on his knee

Stanislav Volskyi once had to complete a commission for Brezhnev himself, with neither a workshop nor tools. He made the portrait literally on his knee, with a sharpened nail. The work was approved. So you don't need a perfect workshop to start.

Olga UspenskaCreates hot enamel jewelry at @enamelmagic.jewelry

I really lacked metalworking skills. I worried I wouldn't have enough time or money. Whatever you say, mastering jewelry making requires investing in tools — but then again, any new endeavor requires investment :) In the end, my determination to learn something new outweighed the doubts.

The course, as promised, teaches the fundamentals of jewelry making, but at the same time it raises many questions — and the teacher gives exhaustive answers along the way. The course opened up a huge layer of knowledge and skills for me. Much of it is publicly available, but it simply passed me by — I didn't understand the basics behind the processes shown on YouTube.

What's more, from silver granules I have already made two proper, if simple, rings for my daughters. I'm terribly proud of myself :) And, as they say, to be continued.

Very high-quality feedback. I received detailed answers to all my “silly” questions. That was very important to me. The course is well made by talented people.

I missed a more detailed tool list at the start. Though I understand you can't cover everything. As I watched the lessons I kept buying more and more — though that's probably a never-ending process in this craft)))

Yes, I would recommend the course to others. To whom exactly? I don't know — it's a very specific field of knowledge and skills, and you need to be ready for it. Even though the course is for beginners, whoever takes it should be sure they will actually do jewelry making. Ideally you've already tried something in this field but lack the foundation and a teacher ready to answer every question.

All in all, I would recommend it to people passionate about and in love with jewelry making — and, importantly, patient ones. This is a craft for the persistent :)

Oksana MyriukLearning to work with metals and hot enamel

I really lacked an understanding of how to work with metals. The Silver plan seemed enough — but I made the right choice going for the higher one (editor's note — the Gold plan). With feedback, learning something new is much easier.

Thanks to the course I gained initial skills in working with metals — silver and copper — which is very important to me.

What really struck me was searching for a rolling mill through acquaintances — the answer was that these are not sold — they are passed down as heirlooms...

I loved being able to rewatch and repeat... because it's very hard to absorb something completely new on the first try.

What I didn't like — I wrote it under the lessons and have already forgotten 😊

If you truly want to turn metal into beauty, I recommend taking this online course!!!

Everything in the online course was clear to me, as I had done some stages in person at a jeweler's workshop.

I bought the course for a system of knowledge — I lacked an understanding of the sequence in creating a piece.

As a result, I settled on the material for my jewelry, the main techniques and stages, and defined my core style.

IInna Kolesnik

Everything is very clear, accessible and concise, and it seems that with everything necessary (tools) at hand, the course makes the whole process understandable.

I'm so glad to start the year with such an exciting course. Thank you and the master for your work🙏 I hope everything works out🧚🏼‍♀️

In terms of how the process is organised and how the course is designed, you've done a great job, 10 out of 10. …

The most important thing for me turned out to be having to make something every week. Before, it was just now and then. …

After the course I realised it's all about practice and experience. The more you solder, the better it turns out each time.

Frequently asked questions

How does the learning work?+

Right now only the “Silver” self-paced plan is available. Access opens right after payment. All lessons are already recorded and available from day one, so you study in the format that suits you and at your own pace. Every lesson has homework: you recreate the piece from the video lesson. You can upload your work in your personal dashboard and show it to the school. The Silver plan doesn't include reviews of your homework — instead, you get recordings of reviews of other students' work.

Will the course suit me if I'm a beginner jeweler?+

Yes, this course is designed for beginners.

What will I need for the course? (I have no tools or workshop)+

Read more about the tool kit and workplace setup in the article “Tools. What to buy as a beginner jeweller?”. Of course, any occupation requires investment. Whether you are: - an illustrator (computer and graphics tablet), - an angler (rod and bait), - a photographer (expensive camera gear) - a jeweler (tools, bench, working metal) Stanislav Frantsevych once had to fulfill a commission for Brezhnev himself, having neither tools nor a workshop. He literally made it on his knee, with a sharpened nail. Nevertheless, his work was approved. In those times, portraits of high-ranking officials could only be made with special permission. One slip — and you'd be in trouble. So it's all in your hands! Start small.

Tools. What to buy as a beginner jeweller? →
How much time do I need to set aside?+

The course will take exactly as much time as you decide to give it. But remember — the better you do the assignments, the better your results will be. You can practice even 30 minutes a day. Just don't be surprised later if you don't reach your goals. We recommend aiming for 2–3 hours of daily jeweler's practice. It's hard to give an exact number, since every student has a different pace, resources and motivation.

Language of instruction?+

The course was originally recorded in Russian. In the course cabinet you can watch the lessons in the original or dubbed into Ukrainian, English, French or Spanish, with subtitles in any of these five languages. All written materials are translated into the five languages. Homework review videos are in Russian with subtitles in the five languages.

Can I pay if I'm in Russia or Belarus?+

No, the course is not sold in Russia or Belarus. The payment system will not let your payment through.

Where do I turn if I have a problem or question?+

If you have a technical question, something isn't working on the site, you've found a bug, or you're having trouble with payment, you can reach us by email at jewelryart.education@gmail.com, on Instagram, or via Facebook Messenger.

Important — the Silver plan does not include support for questions directly related to jewelry-making itself. However, you'll find answers to most questions in the knowledge base included in the course, and in the video reviews of past Gold-tier students' homework.

I didn't like the course. Can I get a refund?+

Yes. If within 14 days of payment you decide the course isn't for you, we'll refund the full price. The guarantee doesn't apply once you've moved on to the next module. Details are on the “Payment and refund guarantee” page.

How long do I have access to the course?+

For life: the course stays in your personal dashboard for as long as the school's platform is running.

I've already taken the “Let's Make Jewelry Beauty” mini-course. What's next?+

The mini-course is the first stage of the Volskyi method: safety, metals, melting. “Jeweler Profession” is stages 2 and 3: from a blank to finished jewelry with stones.

I'm not 20 anymore. Is it too late?+

Students of the course range from 18 to over 60. Jewelry making doesn't require the “right” age, only the desire and the right first steps.
