Biography
1943
Born on July 18 in the town of Slavuta, Khmelnytskyi region, into a family of teachers, Maria Frantsivna and Frants Ludvykovych.
1966–1970
Studied at the Ivan Trush Lviv College of Applied and Decorative Arts. Graduated with honors from the Department of Artistic Metalwork. Teacher: S. T. Melnychuk.
1967
Commissioned by the Lviv city authorities to create commemorative gifts for General Secretary of the CPSU Leonid Brezhnev, as well as other Central Committee leaders: Ustinov, Kosygin, Shcherbytsky and Gorbachev.
1971–1977
Studied at the evening department of the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, graduating with honors. Teachers: E. P. Mysko, A. V. Sobolev, B. I. Halytsky.
1977
Worked as a jeweler-artist at the “DIAMANT” jewelry workshop.
1987
Member of the Union of Artists.
1990–2002
Worked at the Art Fund of Lviv.
1993–1994
Invited to the USA by “BRIDGE ATLANTIC CORPORATION” as a consultant on enamel and jewelry.
2002
Regional Zenoviy Flinta Prize in decorative and applied arts, for unique jewelry pieces of recent years.
2003
State award, title of “Honored Artist of Ukraine.” Lecturer at the Department of Artistic Metal of the Lviv National Academy of Arts.
2005
Head of the Applied Arts Section of the Lviv branch of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
2006
Associate professor of the Artistic Metal Department at LNAA.
2010
Awarded the Order of Mikhail Perkhin of the Carl Fabergé Memorial Foundation.
His works are held in museums in Kyiv, Moscow, Lviv and the Vatican, as well as in private collections in the USA, Israel, Canada, Australia, Germany, the Netherlands and Ukraine.

In 2010, the Carl Fabergé Memorial Foundation awarded the master the Order of Mikhail Perkhin — the head workmaster of the House of Fabergé. This distinction is given to jewelers whose work is worthy of the great school's legacy.
