Where to buy silver for jewellery making?

The simplest and most accessible options from anywhere in the world:
1. Online. You can also find enamels and tools there. Banks sell silver as bars or granules; granules are more convenient for jewellery making. Search for "silver granules" or "silver bullion bars".
2. A physical or online jeweller's-tool shop. They sell silver granules; check the price with the retailer.
3. A regular bank — buy a bullion bar.
4. Flea markets — buy a silver spoon, fork, or scrap. This is risky for a beginner, however.
5. A pawnshop.
How much silver should you keep in circulation?
Start with at least 30–40 grams. After selling a piece, buy a little more. The more metal you have in circulation, the easier it becomes.
P.S. Banks sell pure 999 silver, which must then be alloyed to a working fineness.
